Answer to solution

1.A solution is when you find x and y to make the equation true.
For the equation y+-5x+10 u could substitute the x with 2 and the y with 0. In the end the equation should be 0=0.

2.On a graph the solution should be a point.

3.A system of equations is when you have all the variables that make the equation true.

4.I quess its when the points on a line intersect.

5.When the lines intersect and the right part of the line is shaded in.

  1. Great job on 1 and 2. For 3 though, a system of equation is actually more than one equation. For 4, that means that the solution is an (x, y) that make BOTH equations true. Your answer for 4 is actually the correct answer for 5. =)
